Tom Reed, Blue, 2011

The sun woke me up. Things are good, only a couple of hours left. I miss civilization, crazy things happen in here—I think I saw a kid dressed as a butterfly get chased by someone with a huge net… Anyway, I want to give shout outs to JB, SL, SR, MU, XX, 13, etc.

GET INVOLVED!

Be a dancer:
- Raise at least $500 for Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF)
- Dance your self silly for 18 hours!

Dance in teams:
- 3 dancers raise at least $450 each ($1,350 total) for EGPAF
- 4 dancers raise at least $425 each ($1,700 total) for EGPAF
- 5 dancers raise at least $400 each ($2,100 total) for EGPAF
- Teams dance themselves silly for 18 hours!
- Groups larger than 5 may dance as a team, but fundraising should be done in smaller units

Be a moraler:
- Raise at least $100
- Attend at least one 2-4 hour shift during marathon
- Bring a burst of energy to the floor and pump up the dancers!

Our Ethos

Columbia University Dance Marathon is a student-run, philanthropic event that seeks to unite the campus around a common cause: to eradicate pediatric HIV/AIDS and finally see a generation free from HIV.

CUDM began in 2001 as part of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation's college outreach program. Now in its eleveth year, CUDM has since grown to become Columbia University's largest philanthropic event, having raised over $500,000 for the Foundation’s lifesaving programs.

Participants pledge to stay on their feet for 18 hours in an effort to represent the mental and physical challenges faced by children suffering from HIV/AIDS.

Support Columbia University Dance Marathon - and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation - because every child deserves a lifetime.
